Sandra Thurlow, author + local historian, presents life on the Treasure Coast over 120 years ago through the letters + loneliness of a teenaged girl.

Saturday, September 22. 11:30-12:30. “History of the Indian River Lagoon”
Nathaniel Osborn, author + historian, examines our waterways past + present.

Saturday, November 3. 11:30-12:30. “1715 Black Sails”Allen Balogh, author + local historian, explains the salvage efforts and piracy resulting from the wreckage of the Spanish galleons off our Treasure Coast shores.

November 7, Wednesday 6:00-7:15. “The Shipwreck of Jonathon Dickinson”
Jason Daniels, Black Hills State College history professor, enlightens us on the harrowing story of Dickinson’s survival in 1696 Florida, walking from Jupiter Inlet to St. Augustine.

Saturday, November 17. 11:30-12:30. “Spanish Guitar + other Great Music”
Rowdy Carlton, guitarist extraordinaire, plays an amazing repertoire.

Saturday, December 1. 11:30-12:30. “ Marriage + Divorce in Colonial America”
Michelle Carrigan, IRSC Professor of History, looks at how couples related in the 18th Century, with a special look at the private life of Alexander Hamilton.

Sunday, December 16. 1:00-3:00. “Santa Visit to J.D. Park”
Robert Farley, IRSC Professor of History, reprises his role as St. Nick, along with his elves, with a riverside landing for kids of all ages !
